1. Our mission

TechSavvyHelp helps everyday technology users solve real problems with clear, practical, and approachable guidance. We aim to explain both what to do and why a solution may work.

2. Topic selection

We choose topics based on reader needs, recurring technical problems, important product changes, security and privacy concerns, and gaps in our existing coverage.

Search demand can help identify questions, but it does not replace usefulness, accuracy, or editorial judgment.

3. Research and sources

We prefer primary and authoritative sources, including official product documentation, vendor support pages, standards organizations, government guidance, security advisories, and original research.

When a claim depends on a third party, we aim to identify the source and avoid presenting marketing language as independent fact.

4. Writing and review

Articles should use plain language, logical steps, accurate terminology, and appropriate warnings. Instructions should begin with lower-risk and reversible actions where practical.

We do not claim that a process, product, or benchmark was personally tested unless supporting evidence exists.

5. Accuracy and updates

Technology changes quickly. We may update articles when interfaces, features, compatibility, pricing, security guidance, or official documentation changes.

An older publication date does not necessarily mean an article is inaccurate, but readers should confirm time-sensitive details with the relevant provider.

6. Corrections

When we identify a material error, we aim to correct it promptly and clearly. Minor spelling, formatting, and clarity edits may be made without a separate correction note.

Readers can report an error through our Contact page and should include the page URL and the detail that appears incorrect.

7. Reviews and recommendations

Recommendations should consider the reader’s task, limitations, cost, compatibility, security, and available alternatives. We avoid guarantees and distinguish verified facts from opinions, vendor claims, and reasonable inferences.

Products and services can change after publication, so readers should verify current specifications and terms before purchasing.

8. Advertising, affiliates, and independence

Advertising and affiliate relationships help support the website but should not determine editorial conclusions. Sponsored content, when used, should be clearly identified.

See our Affiliate Disclosure for details about commissions and commercial relationships.

9. Artificial intelligence and editorial responsibility

Technology tools, including AI-assisted tools, may support research, outlining, editing, or quality checks. They do not replace editorial responsibility.

Material claims should be checked against reliable sources, and automatically generated text should not be published as fact without review.

10. Contact the editorial team

Questions about our editorial process, corrections, or potential conflicts can be submitted through the TechSavvyHelp Contact page.
